Australian rally driver Taylor Gill revealed the livery for his first FIA World Rally Championship WRC2 campaign ahead of Rally Sweden, the opening round of his 2026 program. Gill and fellow Australian co-driver Dan Brkic drove a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, their first season in Rally2 machinery.
Australian and Finnish businesses backed the program, with Nordic bank Ferratum as headline partner.
This was my first time working with Taylor. He got in touch with a loose brief, which I developed into the final livery, working directly with him throughout. The result is a bold, striking design with white transitioning into blue, a nod to the colours of Taylor’s early rally car in Australia.
It was also the first time one of my designs had raced in Sweden. Rally Sweden is the only full winter event on the WRC calendar, run on snow and ice through the forests, and it was a very different setting from the other circuits around the world my work usually appears on. Seeing the car on the snow was really special.
I built a 3D model of the GR Yaris specifically for this project. It let me develop the design across the whole car and show Taylor how it would look before it was finalised.
Taylor was looking forward to seeing the colours against the Swedish snow before the car had turned a wheel in competition. The car debuted at Rally Sweden in February, where Gill and Brkic finished fourth in WRC2.
“I’m always happy to help Australians trying to make it on the world stage. Taylor came to me with a loose idea and a lot of passion, and he’s worked hard to get to WRC2. It was great to give him a car that stands out, and seeing it compete at that level was a real highlight.”
