GWR Launches Australia’s First Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2
Garth Walden Racing has revealed the first Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2 to hit Australian circuits, set to race in the Monochrome GT4 Australia Championship. The car will be driven by Daniel Frougas, with Tim Berryman joining him as co-driver in the Silver-Am class.
The Supra makes an immediate impact with its vibrant livery, created by Tim Pattinson of TP Race Design. Built on a black base, the design layers in matte metallic blue panels, detailed with printed patterns. Fluro yellow highlights add contrast and visibility on track, ensuring the car stands out in the competitive GT4 field.
“It’s a real privilege to be the first to work with a new body shape in Australia,” said Pattinson. “It brings its own time pressure from building a 3D model for the renders and creating scale signage templates so what’s on screen goes on track. There were a few late nights (and early mornings) to get it done, but the end result is well and truly worth it.”
This project marks the debut of Toyota’s GT4 contender in Australia, and the combination of a new platform, experienced team, and bold look sets the stage for an exciting season ahead.
Title-winning team GWR Australia will expand into Monochrome GT4 with the Supra GT4 program. The move adds another chapter to the team’s success, bringing their championship-winning experience into one of the fastest-growing GT categories in the country.
